Alexandra Weaderhorn

Alexandra Weaderhorn received her J.D. from New York Law School in May 2012, and has since been admitted to both the New York State and New Jersey State Bars. She is also certified as an advance matrimonial mediator.

Among other things, while in school, Alexandra participated in an Elder Law clinic where she was the court evaluator in an Article 81 guardianship proceeding and also became a member of of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Alexandra focused on Family Law while in Law School and contributed to the Family Law Blog.

Alexandra has also spent time with the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, Family Court Legal Services and the New York Center for Juvenile Justice. Alexandra specializes in Matrimonial Law, Prenuptial Agreements, and issues pertaining to religious divorce in both civil and religious arenas.

In addition to representing individuals facing divorce and other matrimonial matters, Alexandra is trained in advanced matrimonial mediation and works with couples to navigate divorce in a cooperative and cost-effective way. Her experience and compassionate approach help clients reach meaningful resolutions outside of the courtroom.

Alexandra is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and has written many articles on the topic of Matrimonial Law as well as an article in the New York Law Journal related to constitutional consideration in the time of the coronavirus pandemic.
